Grand Theft Auto V Review
Grand Theft Auto V is the latest installment in the legendary action shooter game series by the British Rockstar Games, GTA. It’s also one of the most technologically advanced games on the market. Although it was released 7 years ago for the previous generation of consoles, it remains a benchmark for the entire genre. GTA VI will be released only in 2-3 years, so it’s high time to play GTA V if you haven’t yet! The title is available for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, and Xbox One.
Graphics and Sound
GTA V is the most graphically advanced game by Rockstar after a newer Red Dead Redemption 2. The game features incredibly realistic visuals. Such a great effect was achieved by combining several proprietary technologies for modulating realistic lighting, shading, and physics. The game looks so good that you can make screenshots while driving on the sunset highway and use them as wallpapers on your PC.
The unique physics engine, Euphoria, presents realistic behavior and damage for vehicles and characters. Just try to hit a car or bump into a pedestrian during the next mission, and you’ll understand why this old game is still worth its money.
You can enjoy playing GTA V with a keyboard and mouse or a PC-compatible controller if you want to play on a computer. Both input methods work great because the game was originally developed for consoles. The default responsiveness setup is perfect for playing the campaign mode, but we recommend you to set a higher response speed when you’re playing the GTA Online mode because it requires a better speed of reaction.
The gameplay of this GTA chapter has many similarities and differences from previous installments. The first thing that you’ll notice is the number of playable characters. This time the plot doesn’t revolve around a single criminal. Instead, you can play 3 different characters and look at the vast game world from different angles.
Michael is a rich guy who can use bullet time skill to shoot more precisely; Franklin is the youngest character who can drive vehicles better than others, and, finally, Trevor is an overbrutal guy who can use the berserk mode to kill enemies without getting hurt. All of them also have 8 characteristics that upgrade, depending on your average behavior.
The entire world of the game is powered by the new AI that makes thousands of NPCs around Los Santos behave like in real life. You can see people chatting, hiking in the mountains, robbings stores, arguing in the neighborhood, and so on. This makes the game incredibly alive and exciting to play even without completing missions. As for the story, it’s even more thrilling!
We guarantee that you will keep playing this jawbreaking action game for months. The main story mode includes around 50 hours of pure gameplay. After exploring the entire map and completing all missions, you can register in GTA Online and enter a more dangerous and diverse online dimension of the game.
GTA V is still one of the most exciting open-world games ever. We think that every gamer should give it a try, independently from tastes. This game is a virtual representation of the craziest sides of American reality combined with advanced graphics and gameplay. Games like this come out very rarely, so just enjoy it.
